CA 19-9
About
On the surface of some cancer cells is a protein called cancer antigen 19-9 (CA 19-9). Tumor cells release CA 19-9 into the body, where it may be identified using laboratory testing in the serum or sometimes other bodily fluids. There are several tests available to determine the amount of CA 19-9.
