A form of imaging examination is abdominal ultrasound. It is used to examine abdominal organs such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and kidneys. Ultrasound can also be used to look at the blood arteries that lead to some of these organs, such as the inferior vena cava and aorta.
